First of all, let me start off by saying that I’m sure I’m not the first person to think of making my own cotton rounds so please know that I know that I’m not being totally original when I post this pattern but I really wanted to share with you how I make these. Not only are they quick and simple but most crocheters, loomers, and knitters have some cotton yarn in their stash so it’s a inexpensive way to do something green.
Looking over this blog’s stats and I am able to see what people have searched for to bring them here. Some of the top searches include things like loom knit mittens or crochet scarves. MANY of you (I’d say about 90% of the people who did an internet search and wound up here) appear to be searching for easy, single crochet baby blanket patterns. This pattern was inspired by a hodge-podge of several different mitten patterns which is how I came up with my pattern’s name. My search yielded a lot of great patterns but nothing I found was exactly what I wanted so I took inspiration from the best parts from each pattern I liked and this pattern was born.
I’ve written my first pattern. I was inspired by several wrist warmers (aka fingerless mittens) and I really wanted a pair for myself but after several attempts I couldn’t find a pattern that was exactly what I was looking for.
